Enjoy a private pygmy goat experience!
This is a private goat play session with up to three little pygmy goats. Includes an introduction to the goats by a Huckleberry Woods goat handler. You’ll be able to brush and tickle the goats, feed them their favourite nibbles and take them out for a run in the orchard to mingle with their animal friends. You’ll learn all about caring for pygmy goats and what keeps them healthy and happy.

This experience is for adults and sensible, robust children OVER 9 YEARS OF AGE (younger children will not be admitted to the goat play area and will have to be kept well back from the goats.) You have to be confident around strong animals and be able to remain calm around the goats even if they jump up. You may get hoof marks on your clothes. Be warned, our goats are as nature intended – complete with horns, and they might headbutt you! This experience is not the right one for you if you’re not confident with animals, worried about hooves, jumping and butting. But if you’re looking for some interactive fun with playful animals, full of personality then jump right in.

Encounters last around 20 minutes. Your experience will take place at some point during our 2 hour session, but not necessarily as soon as you arrive. You can spend the rest of your 2 hours session here with the other free ranging animals at Huckleberry Woods micro animal adventures.

There are friendly, free ranging animals wandering around the orchard. Do be prepared for them to get up close.
Huckleberry Woods is not a gravel pathway, chemical weed killer type of place – but a wild, back-to-nature type of place. It’s located in a small private orchard and is charming and understated rather than large, slick and commercial. It’s not the sort of place where you rush between loads of animal enclosures, vending machines and other distractions. A visit here offers an hour or two of peace and serenity. Time to relax. Time to ‘be’ not just ‘do’ and time to reconnect with nature. Please consider whether this type of relaxing experience is your cup of tea before booking. The experience is totally outside.
