What our visitors say
We had an absolutely fabulous time we were able to take our time looking around and as for our piggie walk experience it was amazing, my daughter throughly enjoyed it and my friend was ecstatic as she adores pigs. The pigs were wonderful and calm to walk, more interested on what goodies they could find bless them! The alpacas were adorable and so cute. The star of the show was of course the chicken duck, he was so lovely and sweet. Loved the new baby chicks and of course the ducks heading off for their morning walk. Cant believe we spend almost 3 hours there. Loved the gluten free donuts, delicious and the owners are a fab and friendly couple who really are passionate about their little venture. It was an amazing and personal experience and we cant wait to book and go again. Thank you for having us and we look forward to coming again soon xxxxx
We just wanted to say a huge thank you for such a lovely party on Saturday. Friends and parents loved it and we honestly think it’s the most successful party we’ve ever had. Thanks and best wishes
What a fantastic hidden treasure of a place. Lovely time spent walking the micro pig Lord Truffles, pig fishing, feeding the donkeys, talking to the alpacas and them humming back, ducks and chickens. Nice play park and woodlands to explore. Lovely friendly owners Belinda and her husband. Ideal for all ages. Looking forward to having my daughters birthday party there. Will definitely go back again
We had the most wonderful visit today. My little girl came away asking when she could visit again!! It was so so lovely to meet you both, and to see the passion and love you have for your little farm. The animals are beautifully cared for, the welcome is warm, there is nothing commercial or spoilt about the place... it is all just lovely. And the pig walking was a fabulous experience. Trotsky was a very well behaved little piggy! Thank you once again for a very memorable birthday treat for an animal mad 6 year old!
What a lovely little find. We had the most idyllic afternoon, 3 adults and two children (1 & 4) We has the place to ourselves. The owners were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the animals. There were plenty of animals to see and feed, a haunted mine, to play in and mine for gems. Teepees, gorgeous flowery meadows and tree stumps to grab some lovely photos.
We had a wonderful afternoon yesterday here! Belinda and Bill are so welcoming and lovely with the children; my son got to feed all the animals and do ‘pig fishing’, he also enjoyed playing in the Tee Pees and panning for jewels by the haunted mine. My 1 year old loved seeing the micro animals too.
I visited the farm today with my husband and 7 year old daughter, what a lovely place to go, so welcoming and the owners are wandering about and on hand to answer questions about the animals, so relaxed and great play area for the children. We did the treasure hunt, played on the swings, held a chicken and made friends with the miniature donkeys. The little pigs are adorable and I’ve never seen anything cuter than the baby alpacas.
What a fab way to spend a morning!! We took our 2yr old and a 13yr old with us today and both loved it in equal measures. Would highly recommend to anyone. We’ve booked a birthday party there too x
I booked the micropig walk for my teenage daughter as a surprise. We were lucky to have chosen a beautiful sunny afternoon and we were the only people there. Bridget was so welcoming, kind and friendly. Belinda was also very friendly and so knowledgeable and passionate about her animals, we were really looked after.
Took my girls here for a birthday treat to walk the pigs and see the animals and it was so lovely! A nice change from busy crowded zoos etc, as it's a small intimate family run place. The owners are so lovely and spent lots of time with the girls telling them all about the animals etc. Will definitely be going back!
Wow what a lovely day. I highly recommend this place I went today with my 9 year old and our friends and we all had a fabulous time. My daughter walked the pig which she thoroughly enjoyed and then we spent to rest of the time exploring and meeting the animals. We also went fishing for a pig which was good fun. We felt totally relaxed here and the family that own/run it were so lovely and very welcoming. If you want something different to the normal farms and zoo then this is definitely the place. They only let a few families in at a time so it is not over crowded and it's so beautiful and relaxing being able to explore. Will most definitely be going back x
This is a great place to bring the family - we went with kids aged 10 and 14 who are already demanding to come back. We were a bit worried that the older boy would think it was a bit young for him and beneath his dignity, but he was thrilled by the pig walking and chicken cuddling. You don't walk the pigs - they walk you and you just drop the lead if they go to fast. The younger one let himself be walked into a thicket from which he had to be rescued, so that was an adventure. This isn't a neat and tidy, tarmac paths kind of place - it's an old, neglected orchard being given a new lease of life so there are tree roots, rabbit holes, mud and everything to make an exciting but safe outing for youngsters (and their grandparents). Really worth a visit.
Huckleberry woods is an amazing experience, small friendly and such a magical oasis of calm. The animals are beautifully looked after and me and my kids had such a lovely time exploring the garden and getting to feed the animals. Our visit to the micro farm was rounded of by a proper cup of tea served in beautiful china in the summer house.
Booked and went today with our two girls aged 2&4. People that own it are lovely! Very friendly, helpful and brilliant with the kids. Very nice to chat to. Liked the freedom of being able to wander around and do the treasure hunt which was fun. Pig fishing was definitely unique! And the animals are really sweet and really nice enclosures. Would go back in the summer once the alpacas are settled. Thank you for helping to make some lovely memories x
We met the three little piggies of Huckleberry Woods last week and it was so much fun. We loved all three and it was difficult to choose which one we wanted to take for a walk. Even though they are still babies they happily let my 7 and 9 year olds walk them around the orchard for ages. Belinda was so good with the children, explaining what they needed to do and how to look after the pigs. Definitely a unique and educational experience for any age. Well worth a trip.
My son Jack said his visit to Huckleberry Woods was 'The best in the world'. It's just the right size to take little ones to. We almost had the place to ourselves, not crowded like the usual places.
We visited Huckleberry Woods with our children to walk the pigs - we all had a great time. The kids loved every minute - in such beautiful, relaxing surroundings. Could not recommend it more highly. - Bill & Belinda were such great hosts
